CUNNINGHAM IN THE US POKER TEAM

Some of the biggest names in the professional poker circuit are gathering in Las Vegas to represent their respective countries at the inaugural World Team Poker kicking off today at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas.

The $50,000 buy in one day event will feature 40 of the world’s top poker pros, representing 8 different countries, on 5 man teams. Each of the teams will be captained by a poker pro and will compete in five shoot-out tournaments featuring rounds of Fixed Limit, No Limit and Pot Limit Omaha.

CUNNINGHAM AT 100/1 FOR VEGAS WIN

The World Series of Poker Main Event is coming up on July 5, 2010 and the Las Vegas book makers are posting odds on the various top players to win the bracelet at the Final Table next November. The current favorite is Phillip D. Ivey; Phil Ivey has just moved into first place as the all time money maker in tournament poker with his performance at the 2010 Aussie Millions. In addition, he has seven WSOP bracelets and has a World Poker Tour title to his credit. He has appeared at eight World Poker Tour final tables.

CUNNINGHAM FOLDS POCKET ROCKETS

Allen Cunningham folded Pocket Rockets (two aces) in the WSOP, against Phil Ivey.
